It is best prepared as a strong infusion (see notes below) and is made with:

Nettles: Stinging Nettles is one of my FAVORITE nutritive herbs for tea and food, nettles is full of iron, potassium, magnesium and copper. It can help balance electrolytes, keep anemia at bay, and aid in the absorption assimilation of other micronutrients. It also helps to nourish the blood with Vitamins A, C, K + B.

Mountain Mint: As a gentle and tasty digestive, mint can work great at easing digestion and also supporting brain function.

Oatstraw: Oatstraw is loaded with iron, magnesium, and calcium as well as Vitamin D and E. It is often used to nourish the nervous system, it adds a rich and nutty flavor to the tea, and is very moistening which helps to offset the dryness of the nettles.

Lemon Balm: Lemon Balm is calming (but not sedative), uplifting and one of my favorite herbs to help reduce stress and anxiety.

Red Raspberry Leaf: Red Raspberry Leaf is rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants + is both anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial.

Directions for Use: **I like to make this tea as a strong infusion, steeping it anywhere from 4-8 hours (covered). I often place about 1/3 cup in a quart mason jar, fill it up with hot water before going to bed, and then strain and enjoy either hot or iced in the morning!

You can also make it in a teapot or tea infuser add 2-3 teaspoons of mix. Pour 8 ounces of boiling water over mix and let steep for a minimum of 10-15 minutes** (covered). This tea is also one you can refresh with a little more tea and a rebrew.

A Note on Herbal Teas: Hot water is used as the method to extract the medicinal constituents from herbs, which is actually one of the most effective ways to extract the most health-boosting properties from certain herbs -- especially the mineral-rich nettle + oat straw in this blend!

FOR EXAMPLE: Studies show that you can get 40 to 80 mg of calcium from a regular cup of nettle tea OR 500 mg of calcium from a strong/long infusion of nettle tea (4-8 hours).
