Taproot’s Mission:

Natalie

To bring the healing power of nature into peoples' lives through food, natural medicines, and nature connection.

How it started

Natalie’s passions of food as medicine, a holistic approach to health, seasonal living, and connecting to the land around us inspired her to create a space and business that fosters experiences for others to do the same.

Inspired by slow herbalism (using and growing the plants that are native to and near our location) and a deep desire for connection (to our food source, to each other, and to our environment), Natalie started growing and sustainably foraging herbs in 2021 with the goal of learning, experimenting, and remembering our ancestral ways.

Then through her more formal studies at the Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine and Rooted Medicine Circle, she began making and selling herbal medicine + teaching classes to show others how to do the same.

Through her efforts, Natalie hopes to evoke feelings of connectedness, a sense of well being, and to empower others to live a life that is connected to the seasons and uses natural remedies to build health and vitality.
